Appointment Information

At Pivot Podiatry, we strive to make your appointment experience as smooth as possible. To help us serve you better, please bring any necessary documents, items or information with you. If you have any further questions regarding fees or payments, we invite you to contact our clinic directly.

What to Bring

  • Current shoes
  • Current and/or previous orthotics
  • Information about imaging or results related to your condition
  • Private Health Card, Medicare Card, or DVA Gold/White Card
  • Referral from GP or another Health Practitioner

Rebates

Private Health Rebates

  • Rebates may be available from your private health fund depending on your podiatry coverage.
  • Rebates can be claimed at your appointment through HICAPS.
  • Contact your health fund if unsure about your coverage.

Enhanced Primary Care or Team Care Arrangements (EPC/TCA)

  • Eligible patients can be referred by their doctor for up to 5 Medicare rebate visits per calendar year across all Allied Health Services.
  • Rebates will be claimed at on the day of your appointment through online claiming.
  • Referrals must be made to Pivot Podiatry to use this plan.

Payment and Cancellations

Payment
  • Payment is required at the time of consultation.
  • Accepted payment methods: cash, EFTPOS, or credit card (except Amex).
Cancellations
  • Contact the office as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
  • Early notification allows staff to make alternative arrangements and offer the appointment to another patient on the waitlist.
  • Notifying us less than 24 hours before your appointment or failing to attend may result in a cancellation fee.

Third Party Payment

NDIS
  • Podiatry treatment available for NDIS participants with Plan-Managed or Self-Managed programs.
  • Signed Service Agreement is required prior to booking an appointment.
Department of Veteran Affairs
  • Gold Card and eligible White Card holders receive services with no out-of-pocket cost.
  • A GP referral is required before the initial consultation.
  • Bring your White or Gold Card to the first visit.
Aged Care Provider
  • Podiatry may be covered by your aged care package.
  • Contact us before your appointment to ensure we are registered with your provider and can submit payment.
WorkCover
  • Contact us prior to your appointment if you have a current insurance claim with a claim number and insurer’s signed approval.
